End of 2008...I Believe

December 31, 2008

Blessings Folk!!

Well...the new, redesigned website is functional. Let me know what you think.

http://www.dalemoore.tv

There is a “rss feed” available on the first page. If you click this and subscribe you will automatically receive podcasts or blog updates. The audio podcasts and email/communiques/blogs will now be on the front page together. Simply scroll down. Click around.

Most of the stuff from the previous web presence is there...still adding a few things.

Pass the word along.

This week of the year is always a time of reflection.

For a very insightful view of the year, see the Dave Barry article on the “news” page. The more you know of current events, the funnier it is.

We as the redeemed of the Lord would do well to give thanks.

The Lord tells us to give thanks in all things.

Spend some time today doing so. Reflect upon the goodness of the Lord, not necessarily circumstances, etc., but upon the Lord.

Give Him thanks for walking us through this year.

The new year?

Just some private thoughts…

I believe that…
the “economic crisis” has only begun...the “socialization” of our country was completed over the past 3-4 months…more was done to destroy us in the past 3 months than was accomplished the previous 40 years...
“things” will get worse
evil will increase
people’s love for one another will wax cold...love that KJV phrase!
our hope is not in what we can do
our hope is not in any process, procedure nor program of man
our hope is in the Lord
we are not to fear
we are not to worry
we are to manifest the Presence of the Kingdom of God with our very being
we are to trust in the Lord
most of the Body of Christ needs to repent and return to the Lord
many are “false profess-ers”...they have a form of godliness, yet deny its power… they are not truly saved...now is the day of salvation...quit playing...confess, repent, be saved
evil, hard, difficult days are just ahead...days of “great tribulation”...even as Jesus said...unlike anything before or thereafter
that most of the professing church is deceived as to the return of the Lord and will not be prepared in the Lord for the days to come
if one reads the Word, the Lord will reveal His truth
that those who “know their God” will shine as brilliantly as the stars in the firmament and will lead many to righteousness
we are in a season of preparation
we must know the Word of the Lord
we must be filled with the Holy Spirit
we must live holy and blameless

...I could go on and on…Happy

Remember…
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases. His mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness, Lord.

Thirst

Blessings Folk!!

Join with me in prayer for a couple of things…

There were a couple of “tragic” deaths in our community the past couple of days. Pray for the families, friends...
For a young person with a “eating disorder.”

This “eating disorder” is curious/interesting.

We were interceding on their behalf this morning. It appears that the individual is a wonderful cook. Loves to prepare meals and discusses upcoming meals all the day. But, when it comes time to eat, they partake of very little. A bite here. A bite there.

It has raised concern among parents and friends.

While we were praying a thought came.

This is exactly what most folk who profess to be true believers do.

We do things in the name of God.
We remain busy in the “affairs of the church.”
We speak of “our church,” “our pastor,” “our music,” etc. etc.

Yet, it is truly the rare individual who sits at the table that Father has prepared for us to eat richly and drink deeply of His provision.

I believe that this particular person is experiencing in the natural a manifestation of what is occurring within the spirit realm in their life.

Many others do the same.

We learn - in the name of God.
We worship - in the name of God.
We “minister” - in the name of God.
We…

But, are we really walking with the Lord?
Are we drinking deeply of Him?

Listen to the Word of the Lord

Ps 36:8
8 They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.
KJV

Ps 63:1-2
1 O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
2 To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.
KJV

Isa 12:3
3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.
KJV

Isa 55:1
55 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
KJV

Amos 8:11-12
11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God , that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord :
12 And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord , and shall not find it.
KJV

John 4:10
10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
KJV

Rev 21:6
6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
KJV

John 7:37-38
37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
KJV

For what do you thirst?
What quenches the longing within?

We are fast approaching the days that Amos saw.
There is a famine of the Word of the Lord.

Yes.

There are great “teachings.”
There are great “sermons.”
There are great “worship services”
There are great “programs.”

Yet, if the thirst of man for God is not slated, then they are for naught.

Lord, we thirst for you.
Deep cries unto deep!

Ps 42:7-8
7 Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.
8 Yet the Lord will command his lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life.
KJV

Let us draw near to the Lord. He will draw near to us!!

I’m still working on website...ugh...LOL...hope to have it restored/updated today...we’ll see.

The Word

December 29, 2008

Blessings Folk!!

Forgive me for the erratic nature of our times together of late.

Without boring you...suffice it to say that all computers can have problems. Happy

It appears that I will be doing a total redesign of website, blog, etc. Gonna go for a simpler, cleaner look/function. We’ll see.

I want to encourage you to join us in something.

We are planning a systematic reading of the Bible this year.

Believers often determine to do such at the beginning of the year.

Rarely do they complete the goal.

We shall.

We are using a unique tool - a chronological Bible. This is simply a Bible that has the text arranged according to chronology…the order of events along a time-line.

You can order it here. Big sale!!

so that's why bible - Christianbook.com Search

Why are we doing this?

Most people do not know the truth of the Word that the Lord has given us.

Most believers know what they have been told. They have not received the Word of the Lord empowered by the Holy Spirit.

Yesterday, at our corporate gathering time, a statement was made several times. Something along this line…”then, what I was told was not the truth?”

Folk were seeing truth about the beginning - Genesis…

Folk were seeing the truth about the end - Revelation…

The most exciting thing is that the Lord is revealing His truth to His people individually. He is teaching us.
He is directing.
He is preparing.

So many are deceived as to the the truth of the Lord.

So many turn to man. They say “but so-n-so says!!”. They do not know what God says!

I’m watching a program at this moment that is expounding upon the coming of the Lord. They are totally wrong according to timing...just used this phrase…”basically, probably, most-likely...LOL”
They are misusing Scripture.
They are ignoring Scripture.
Most folk will swallow it whole.

They will be unprepared for the days yet to come.
They will be open to deception.

We must know the Word of the Lord ourselves.

Hear what the Lord says in Psalm 119.

Ps 119:105
105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

KJV

Believers so often walk in darkness because they reject the Word of the Lord.

Let us not be counted among them.

Listen not to the lies of the enemy. He will tell you that…
you are not smart enough
you can not understand
only certain people can know the Word
etc. etc.

Jesus tells us that He will teach us.

Let us receive.

Let us prepare.

We will be amazed at what the Lord will reveal.

We will begin on January 1!

A time of new beginnings.

Remember, the Lord gives us a place to begin again!!

Blessings!!
