"Blessed Be the Lord God of Israel"

“Blessed Be the Lord God of Israel”

Blessings folk!

Zacharias was set free from deafness and dumbness.
Oh that the Body of Christ would be too.
We are deaf to the Spirit of the Lord.
We are dumb to the Word the Lord desires to speak through us.

Look at the first thing Zacharias said…

Luk 1:68-69

“Blessed be the Lord God of Israel,
For He has visited us and accomplished redemption for His people,

And has raised up a horn of salvation for us
In the house of David His servant—

He blesses the Lord.
He declares that is is the Lord God of Israel that has done this.
The Lord has visited us…
The Lord has accomplished redemption for His people…
Note the tense of the verbs.

Zacharias son would be the forerunner of Messiah.
Zacharias and Elizabeth knew this.
They had been told.
They believed.
Zacharias considers it to be done.
He knew of Mary and her child.
He is now declaring that salvation is accomplished, even though it was in the process of “becoming”.

Zacharias then give the “scriptural support” for his statement.

The Lord has raised up, again note the tense, a horn of salvation for us.
Salvation from the house of David the Lord’s servant…as was prophesied.

We will see more of this prophesied Word.

For now, bless the Lord in everything.
Give thanks for His fulfilled Word.
Rejoice in the horn of salvation that He has provided.
