Jesus continues to speak.
He knew that His Words were causing discomfort, confusion, etc.
He had just Peter that he would deny Him.
“Do not let your heart be troubled;
believe in God, believe also in Me.
The Lord tells them to “let not your heart be troubled”.
We see we have the ability to decide.
Will our heart be troubled?
Will our heart be at peace?
The Lord provides the way of peace.
Whether to believe God or not.
That is the basis of faith.
Faith = Believing God.
We will thereby have hearts that are not troubled.
If our pattern and practice of behavior is a heart of trouble and fear, then we are believing in situation and circumstance and not in God.
A form of idolatry.
- be not troubled.
- be at peace
- believe God
- believe Jesus
- trust in Him
Watch what He does.
