"Sing'n and Prais'n"
“Sing’n and Prais’n”
The Lord provided victory.
The Lord fought.
In what we would consider to be a strange, peculiar way.
He set the enemy upon one another!
Read the passage and note when the Lord did this…
2 Chronicles 20:22-23
22 When they began singing and praising, the Lord set ambushes against the sons of Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; so they were routed.
23 For the sons of Ammon and Moab rose up against the inhabitants of Mount Seir destroying them completely; and when they had finished with the inhabitants of Seir, they helped to destroy one another.
Did you see the when, what and how?
When the people began worshipping the Lord! (We saw this in the previous verses)
When they sang praises to the Lord.
Then, the Lord set ambushes against the sons of Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir.
The Lord routed them as they rose up against one another.
The Lord will do the same today.
If we praise Him rather than complain…
If we praise Him rather than doubt…
If we praise Him rather than live in fear…
Then, the Lord will do battle for us.
If we sing praise to Him, then we are joining in the battle with the Lord.
If we do not, we are joining with the evil one.
