When will the Lord return?
The Lord tells us that we will not know the day nor the hour, but we will know the season.
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
So, we watch.
We live in the manner that the Lord has instructed...especially that which we have read of late in 1 Timothy.
Why does God not give us the exact day/hour/minute?
Read what we learn about God in the next few verses of 1 Timothy 6…
1 Timothy 6:15-16
15 God will bring this about in His own time.
He is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings, and the Lord of lords,
16 the only One who has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light; no one has seen or can see Him, to Him be honor and eternal might. Amen.
God brings about what He desires in His time.
Look at what we learn about God.
- Only Sovereign
- King of Kings
- Lord of Lords
- The One Immortal
- Dwelling in Unapproachable Light
- to be Honored
- the Source of Eternal Might
This is the Most High God.
He dwells within each True Believer.
It is He that empowers us to live life in the manner that He has designed.
We have a simple decision.
Will we abide in Him and the Life that He empowers?
Or, will we step outside of the abiding Presence of the Lord to live in the flesh?
It is that simple.
