“Witnesses”

Matthew 27:55-56
Mark 15:40-41
Luke 23:49
John 19:25-27

Note the number of people who would testify.
Note their gender, background, etc.

• women ministered to him, they were at the cross
• women from Galilee, some from Jerusalem
• all His acquaintances...some at a distant
• the disciple that Jesus loved (John) was there.

These would testify/verify that Jesus died...not just a beating or swooning.
These would soon testify that He lives.
