Job 38:31-33

“Can you bind the chains of the Pleiades,
Or loose the cords of Orion?

“Can you lead forth a constellation in its season,
And guide the Bear with her satellites?

“Do you know the ordinances of the heavens,
Or fix their rule over the earth?

The Pleiades and Orion are bound.
The Lord controls them.
Yes, these are the constellations that we know.

Can Job control/loose them?
No.
Can we?
No.

Can he/we lead them?
No.

Did he…do we…know the ordinances of the heavens.
No.

We think we know more.
I suspect that there is much that we think we know that is not true.

The Lord had fixed their rule over the earth.
Why?

Gen 1:14-15

Then God said,
“Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night,
and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years;

and let them be for lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth”;
and it was so.

There is more here.
