“Jesus: Hope, Healer, Deliverer of the Nations”

Today’s reading:
Matthew 12:15-21
Mark 3:7-12
Luke 6:17-19

The Pharisees were plotting to assassinate Jesus.
Jesus learned of the plot and left from there.
Still, many followed Him.
Jesus healed them all.
Jesus warned them not to tell who He was.
Why?
So that the words spoken through Isaiah the prophet would be fulfilled. Look at what we learn about Jesus the Messiah through this prophecy...spoken hundreds of years before.
Jesus:
Jesus, the Hope of the Nations.
Jesus, Healer of the Nations.
Jesus, Deliverer from unclean spirits of the Nations.
Jesus, the Power of God to the Nations.

Jesus:
- God’s servant
- Chosen by God
- Beloved by God
- God is well-pleased in Him
- Has the Spirit of the Lord upon Him. God placed it there.
- Proclaims justice to the Gentiles
- Will not quarrel
- Will not cry out
- Will not break off a battered reed...those wounded, hurt, barely hanging on
- Will not put out a smoldering wick...those barely clinging to the fire of life
- Will lead justice to victory
- In His name the Gentiles hope.
Jesus, the Hope of the Nations.
Jesus, Healer of the Nations.
Jesus, Deliverer from unclean spirits of the Nations.
Jesus, the Power of God to the Nations.
