Neh 10:34-36

Likewise we cast lots for the supply of wood among the priests, the Levites and the people so that they might bring it to the house of our God, according to our fathers’ households, at fixed times annually, to burn on the altar of the LORD our God, as it is written in the law;

and that they might bring the first fruits of our ground and the first fruits of all the fruit of every tree to the house of the LORD annually,

and bring to the house of our God the firstborn of our sons and of our cattle, and the firstborn of our herds and our flocks as it is written in the law, for the priests who are ministering in the house of our God.

Note a couple of key phrases…

“As it is written in the Law…”

All that they were agreeing to was that which the Lord had given in His Law.
They decided to quit rebelling.
They were determining to adhere to the Law.

They would supply wood for the priests and Levites.

They would…the next key phrase…”bring the first fruits”…

The first fruits would be offered first to the Lord, thereby the name.
The first fruits of the ground.
The first fruits of every tree.
The firstborn of the sons.
The first fruits of the cattle.
The first fruits of the herds.
The first fruits of the flocks.

All the first fruits were to be brought to the house of God for the priests who ministered.
As it is written in the Law.

The people had decided/determined/agreed to “do it God’s way”.

How refreshing.

Oh that the Body of Christ would do likewise.
We must “do the Kingdom God’s way”.

Anything else is the idolatry of the kingdom of man.
