"Only government..."

January 9, 2009

Blessings Saints!!

I heard words yesterday that should strike terror into the heart of every unbeliever - but it will not.

Words that might even give true Believers pause - if they trust not in the Lord.

The words gave voice to that which we already knew to be the truth. By deeds in recent years we knew, but now, it has been declared forthrightly. It has been proclaimed as “the hope.”

I can barely hear/read these words without physical reaction.

They are so wrong.

They are so incorrect.

They will prove to be the foundation for our destruction.

I will address only one issue in this forum. For more, listen to my podcast today. Listen to this one, even if you never have before. Let me know if you can’t make the podcast work. I’ll try to help.

Yesterday, President-Elect Obama gave a speech at George Mason University (home of the now retired and highly esteemed Walter Williams, former chair economic department - he knows the truth).

In the midst of the speech the following was stated:

“It is true that we cannot depend on government alone to create jobs or long-term growth. But at this particular moment, only government can provide the short-term boost necessary to lift us from a recession this deep and severe. Only government can break the cycle that is crippling our economy, where a lack of spending leads to lost jobs, which leads to even less spending, where an inability to lend and borrow stops growth and leads to even less credit.’

Forget “in God we trust.”

What we have known for decades is loudly proclaimed - “in government we trust.”

Folk, do not be deceived by this. (Again, listen to today’s Podcast).

One can not spend one’s self to prosperity.

We are a “debt based” society. The Scripture tells us about such:

Prov 22:7
7 The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.

KJV

Deut 28:12
12 The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.

KJV

None of what was said yesterday bodes well for our nation.

Yet, we fear not!

Yes, we speak strongly against the deception.
Yes, we spread truth.

Lastly, we manifest the peace and joy of the Presence of the Lord in trusting Him in all things.

As evil increases, we trust in the Lord.
As lying men and deceitful leaders arise, we trust in the Lord.
As man turns more and more to his own way, to his own solutions, to his own agenda, we trust in the Lord.

Do not be distracted.
Do not be deceived.

Trust in the Lord!!

Blessings!!
