“Third Example”

Blessings folk!

Another example.

Jude is reminding the folk of how God judges.
He judged His people that He rescued from Egypt when they did not believe.
He judged angels that abandoned their proper abode.
Now…

Jude 7
7 just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, since they in the same way as these indulged in gross immorality and went after strange flesh, are exhibited as an example in undergoing the punishment of eternal fire.

Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them, were judged by God.
Why?
They indulged in gross immorality.
They went after strange flesh.

In the same manner that the angels that abandoned their proper abode went after “strange flesh” (the daughters of men), the Sodomites indulged in gross immorality with strange flesh. The balance of the Word reveals “same-sex” immorality is referenced.

God judged His people…
God judged the angels…
God judged the rebellious of Sodom and Gomorrah...
The Lord is telling us that these people that have “crept in unnoticed” will be judged.

Therefore, we are to contend for the faith.
We are to leave judgment to God.

The punishment of eternal fire awaits those who do not repent.
