The Lord is our Model/Example in all things.
In how we relate to OneAnother He is the Standard.

Romans 15:2-3
2 Each of us is to please his neighbor for his good, to his edification.
3 For even Christ did not please Himself; but as it is written, “The reproaches of those who reproached You fell on Me.”
We are to seek the good of our neighbor.
This is what “agape” love is. Seeking what is best for the other person.
We do so to their edification.
Edification?
Yes.
What builds them up in the Lord?
What encourages them?
It may not always be what “they like or want”.
Christ did not please Himself.
Then this is written…”but as it is written”...we will see more about the “written” tomorrow...interesting...but for now…
The reproaches of the very ones who reproached the Lord fell upon Him.
If the Lord did this for us…
Should we not humble ourselves for our neighbors?
Especially those of the Body of Christ?
Yes.
We should.
Yet, many do not.
Why?
Some are ignorant.
Now we know.
Repent and move forward.
Some are unsaved.
They are religious, but their attitudes and tongues reveal that they have not had a true conversion experience.
Repent.
Confess.
Today is the day of salvation.
Then, live as the Lord instructs.
