Some of the gospels are nearly “unfeeling” in there account, though such is not the case.

They provide rapid-fire facts.

  • They arrived at a Golgotha=The Place of the Skull. The place of crucifixion
  • They attempted to sedate Jesus. He would have none.
  • They crucified Him...nailed Him to the cross
  • They went about the business of dividing His clothing by casting lots, fulfilling prophecy.
  • They sat, keeping watch over Him until He died
  • They gave one last literal sign of mocking, though it be the truth - “This Is Jesus The King Of The Jews”

It was 9 a.m.
He was crucified with criminals, one on each side.

And yet, did you see what Jesus said?
Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing

Most of the disciples had long since fled.
But, at the foot of the cross, we see Jesus’ mother Mary, His aunt, Mary Clopas, Mary Magdalene, and the disciple who Jesus loved - John.
Jesus told John to take care of His mother, Mary.
John did from that hour.

All this was done for the forgiveness of sins.
Has the Lord called you?
Have you repented and confessed?
Have you experienced the new life that awaits?
