"From Expectation to Experience"

“From Expectation to Experience”

Blessings Folk!

I Who speak to you am He.”

What profundity.

How unexpected.

The woman had simply gone about the duties of the day...one of which was to procure water from the wall.

An arduous task to say the least.

The last thing she expected was a life-changing transformation.
The last thing she expected was a transition from expectation to experience.

I believe that we are in such a time.

A quick review…

John 4
21 Jesus said to her, "
Woman, believe Me, an hour is coming when neither in this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father.
 22 "
You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews.
 23 "
But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers.
 24 "
God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."
25 The woman said to Him, "I know that Messiah is coming (He who is called Christ); when that One comes, He will declare all things to us."
26 Jesus said to her, "
I who speak to you am He."

Again, one of the most profound teachings on worship in the Word...giving by the Word...to a woman that most of the world would have nothing with which to do… a sinner.

We see that she had expectation.
She knew that Messiah was coming.
She knew that Messiah would declare all things to them.
She was curious as to what to do in the meantime.
Was “her” form of worship correct?
Was “there” (Jews) form correct?

Jesus answered her inquiry, then went further.

Read verse 23 again...pay close attention.

Note the timing...hour is coming and now is.

The time is now.

For what?

True worshippers to worship the Father in spirit and truth.
Not is rule, regulation, religion.
In Spirit.
In Truth.

Even more amazing…

Father seeks such people to be His worshipers.

Father is seeking.

The woman was seeing the fruit of the Living Water being offered.

Her expectation could be transformed into experience.

It soon would be…

What of us?

We have expectation of the move of the Lord, yet we quench such in so many ways.

Let us determine to worship Father in Spirit and Truth.

Let us anticipate transition.

Let us trust Him

Are you ready for transition?

Are you walking faithfully in each moment?

Let us do so...much is changing today, much more tomorrow…

Fear not.

Trust the Lord

Blessings!
