“I Hold My Life…”

Blessings folk!

Psalm 119:109-112
109 I hold my life in my hand continually,
but I do not forget your law.
110 The wicked have laid a snare for me,
but I do not stray from your precepts.
111 Your testimonies are my heritage forever,
for they are the joy of my heart.
112 I incline my heart to perform your statutes
    forever, to the end.

The times were difficult for the Psalmist.
His life was threatened continually.
The wicked had laid a snare for him.

The Psalmist’s response?
To forget not the law of the Lord.
To stray not from the precepts of the Lord.
To rejoice in his heart over the testimonies of the Lord.
To acknowledge that the testimonies of the Lord are his heritage...forever.
To incline his heart to perform the statutes of the Lord...forever...to the end.

End of what.
This corporeal existence.
But, beyond.

Trust in the Lord.
He will never fail.
