Ecclesiastes continues to teach us about The Fool.
For the dream comes through much effort and the voice of a fool through many words.
For what advantage does the wise man have over the fool? What advantage does the poor man have, knowing how to walk before the living?
For as the crackling of thorn bushes under a pot,
So is the laughter of the fool;
And this too is futility.
Do not be excessively wicked and do not be a fool. Why should you die before your time?
- a person of many words
- “as the cracking of thorn bushes under a pot”..such is the laughter of the fool (anyone come to mind…think politics…LOL). Such is futility.
Do not be excessively wicked?
Can we be “a little” wicked?
Be not wicked.
Be not a fool.
Both might cause one to die before their time.
