2Co 5:17
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

A new creature.
The old things…old life…old sins, etc. … are passed away.
New things have come.

The context of the chapter 5 is interesting.
We are new creatures.
Yet, we are still in the old body.

2Co 5:1-3
For we know that if the earthly tent which is our house is torn down, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

For indeed in this house we groan, longing to be clothed with our dwelling from heaven,

inasmuch as we, having put it on, will not be found naked.

Our body is an earthly tent.
If it is torn down…if we die…we have a building from God, a house not made with hands.
(Having moved to a new location this weekend, a God house sounds good…LOL)
An eternal, God house.

We are new creatures, still inhabiting an earthly tent.
We have an eternal God house awaiting us.
Through the groaning…
Through the longing…
Put on the new self.
Rejoice in that yet to come.
