“Shut De Doo’...”
Blessings folk! We continue...
Genesis 7:13-17
On the very same day Noah and Shem and Ham and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah’s wife and the three wives of his sons with them, entered the ark,
they and every beast after its kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth after its kind, and every bird after its kind, all sorts of birds.
So they went into the ark to Noah, by twos of all flesh in which was the breath of life.
Those that entered, male and female of all flesh, entered as God had commanded him; and the LORD closed it behind him.
Then the flood came upon the earth for forty days, and the water increased and lifted up the ark, so that it rose above the earth.
They entered the Ark... Noah and family. Animals. All that had the breath of life. They went in by twos...male and female.
Then, the Lord closed it behind him. The Lord shut the door. The Lord sealed the door.
Again, they were sealed in the Ark by the Lord. The Lord provided the plans/strategy of the Ark. The Lord sealed.
Then the flood came. This is a vivid picture of the salvation we have in the Lord Jesus.
He is the Ark of our Salvation...(some interesting things to consider with the Ark of the Covenant and the Ark of Noah) We are sealed by Him.
2Co 1:21-22
Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us is God, who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge.
Eph 1:13-14
In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.
Eph 4:30
Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
If we are True Believers, not just False “Profess”ers, then we are sealed by the Lord through the Holy Spirit. The Spirit is given as a pledge of an inheritance yet to come. We are sealed for the day of redemption.
Even as Noah was protected from the judgment of God, so will we be protected from the wrath of God in the Day of the Lord.
We are in Him...even as Noah and group were in the Ark. We are sealed in Him...even as the Lord sealed Noah.
