“Deliverance By Faith”

Blessings folk!

Moses lived by faith.
Of course, this does not mean that he did everything perfectly.

Exodus 6:12, 30

But Moses spoke before the LORD, saying, “Behold, the sons of Israel have not listened to me; how then will Pharaoh listen to me, for I am unskilled in speech?”

But Moses said before the LORD,
“Behold, I am unskilled in speech; how then will Pharaoh listen to me?”

Moses pulled the ole “but Lord” line.
If He is truly Lord, then we do not say “but”…”no”… etc.

The desire to “be perfect” will quench the life of faith.
Live by faith.
Allow the Lord to take care of the “perfect” part.
He will lead us into holiness and righteousness.

Now, the Lord continues to remind us in Hebrews 11 of the faith of Moses.

Hebrews 11:28-29

By faith he kept the Passover and the sprinkling of the blood,
so that he who destroyed the firstborn would not touch them.

By faith they passed through the Red Sea as though they were passing through dry land; and the Egyptians, when they attempted it, were drowned.

By faith, Moses kept the Passover as instructed by the Lord…see Exodus 12.
By faith, Moses sprinkled the blood as instructed by the Lord…see Exodus 12.
Why?
So that they would be touched by he who destroyed the firstborn.

Exodus 12:29

Now it came about at midnight that the LORD struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the captive who was in the dungeon, and all the firstborn of cattle.

By faith, Moses and the children of Israel passed through the Red sea…as upon dry land… see Exodus 14.
Egyptians were drowned.

By faith, deliverance.
By faith, defeat of the enemy.
By faith, protection from death.

By faith, the only way to live.
