2Co 5:9
Therefore we also have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him.

We seek to do so, a day at a time.
Pleasing Him.

So much of what we do would be changed if our goal is to please Him.

Why should it be our ambition to please the Lord?
The next verse tells us…

2Co 5:10
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

Why?
Because we each will be judged.
This is speaking to true believers.
True believers will appear before the judgment seat of Christ.
This is for the purpose of being recompensed for deeds done in the body…
Good.
Bad.
Whoa!

We know of the “good”…rewards.
But bad?

What does that mean?
It means that the blood of Jesus will cover us for the bad deeds that are done.

What will happen to unbelievers and false believers?
They will appear before the Lord at the Great White Throne…a different place, time, event.

Please Him.
Rewards come.
