The heavens declare the glory of the Lord.
We as believers rejoice in the Lord.
More on rejoicing…
Well, that is succinct and to the point.
We are to rejoice always.
- etc. etc.
Of course, you note that the verse is only part of a sentence.
This sentence actually answers a question that is often asked… “what is the will of the Lord?”
Read the entire sentence…
pray without ceasing;
in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
In seeking the will of God we are usually looking for an answer, direction, etc.
That is fine.
But, do we do what the Lord states as His will?
Pray without ceasing.
Give thanks in everything.
If we are not doing this, then why are we seeking “His will” in any other way?
So, let us do the will of God…
- rejoice…when? Always.
- pray…when? Without ceasing.
- give thanks…for what? Everything.
Do these, then see what the Lord does.
