“I Cried…”

“I Cried…”

Blessings folk!

We continue to experience the wonder and depth of the Word of God as described in Psalm 119.

Would we not do well to read a stanza from this Psalm every day?

You will have noticed several patterns…

  • The Word described as…
    • Law
    • Statutes
    • Commandments
    • Precepts
    • Ordinances
    • Instructions
    • etc. I am certain I have forgotten a couple. Happy

  • The Psalmist situation
  • The Psalmist response to the Word
  • The benefit of the Word to those who believe
  • The judgment of the Word upon those who refuse to believe

Read the next stanza, watching for insights to the patterns we have seen…

Psa 119:145-152

Qoph.

I cried with all my heart; answer me, O LORD!
I will observe Your statutes.

I cried to You; save me
And I shall keep Your testimonies.

I rise before dawn and cry for help;
I wait for Your words.

My eyes anticipate the night watches,
That I may meditate on Your word.

Hear my voice according to Your lovingkindness;
Revive me, O LORD, according to Your ordinances.

Those who follow after wickedness draw near;
They are far from Your law.

You are near, O LORD,
And all Your commandments are truth.

Of old I have known from Your testimonies
That You have founded them forever.

The Psalmist cried out to God!

  • I cried with all heart. Answer me!
  • I will observe Your statutes
  • I cried to you. Save me!
  • I cried. Help!
  • I wait. For Your Words
  • I meditate. On Your Words
  • I cried. Hear my voice
  • I cried. Revive me, according to Your ordinances
  • You are near!

Have you ever felt this way?

Cry out to the Lord.
He is near.
He will help.
He will revive.
He will save.
