"Day 1"

“Day 1”

Blessings folk!

By faith we understand that the worlds were created/prepared by the Word of God.

Let’s look at that.

Remember.
Do not allow a “spirit of familiarity” to rob you of the voice of the Lord through His Word.

Gen 1:1-5

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters.

Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.

God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness.

God called the light day, and the darkness He called night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day.

Evening and morning.
Day one.

There is great debate among theologians.
Was this a literal “24-hour day”?
Was this “day” a period of time?
I believe that we will see that it means a literal 24-hour day.
The Word gives statements and hints.

What did God do on Day 1?
The Spirit of the Lord moved over the surface of the waters.
At the beginning all was formless and void…empty, nothing
God brought forth form…water…
God created “light”
He separated the light from the darkness
Light: day
Darkness: night

Nothing unusual, correct?

Until you consider that the sun, moon and stars were not created until Day 4.
What then is it that God created on Day 1?

I believe it is “light”.
The electromagnetic spectrum.
The basis for all life and creation - energy.
Life.

The Lord spoke it into existence.

Rejoice in what He did Day 1.
