“Tribulations…”

Blessings folk!

God’s grace is amazing.

We are grace creatures.
We are transformed by grace.
We are being conformed into the image of the Lord by grace.
We have salvation now and yet to come by His grace.
We are covenant people of the grace of God.

If this be so, and it is, then why do difficult things occur.

Let’s review what we read yesterday, then continue a few more verses…

Rom 5:1-5
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God.

And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance;

and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope;

and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Tribulations will come.
What is our response to be?
Exult!
Exult means “to feel or show great happiness”.
Hummm….?
Not exactly the response that we normally have to times of tribulation, trouble, turmoil and the like.

Why does God allow such?

Tribulation brings perseverance.
we choose to press on
we choose to rejoice
we choose to feel and show great happiness

Perseverance brings proven character.
who we are is revealed in persevering through tribulation

Proven character brings and manifests hope.

Hope does not disappoint.

We do this through the Love of God that has been poured out…note the volume…poured!….within our hearts through the Holy Spirit given to us.

True Believers have the Holy Spirit within.

We are called to live this way.
We can.
We must.

Do it.
