“Save Your Life?”
Blessings folk!
What is your mind set upon?
God’s interests?
Man’s interests?
In too many portions of the professing Body of Christ a blended perversion occurs.
Man’s interests are pursued in the name of God.
A blasphemous pursuit.
If our goal is to save our own life…we will lose..
Mar 8:34-38
And He summoned the crowd with His disciples, and said to them, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me.
“For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it,
but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.
“For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul?
“For what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
“For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation,
the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.”
Seek to save your life?
Lose it.
Lose your life for Jesus’ sake…for the gospel’s sake?
Deny self?
Take up your cross?
Follow Him?
Save it.
The “profit” of life is not found in the attainment of the world.
The “profit” is exchanging our souls for the right thing…eternal life with the Lord, not temporary stuff of the world.
Ashamed of the Lord now in this adulterous/sinful generation?
The Lord will be ashamed of you.
When?
When He comes.
Comes in the glory of His Father.
Comes with the holy angels.
This is the reality of life and eternity.
