"I Grant to You"

“I Grant to You…”
Blessings folk!

Jesus was dealing with disputing disciples.
They were arguing over who was the greater.
We saw His initial response yesterday.

Then, He says…

Luke 22:28-30
“You are those who have stood by Me in My trials;
and just as My Father has granted Me a kingdom, I grant you
that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, and you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Jesus encouraged and exhorted them with the truth.

They had stood by Him in the midst of His trials (though all but one was about to fail).
They would be able to eat/drink at the Lord’s table in the Kingdom that Father is to give the Son.
They will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

There was no need to argue.
No need to dispute.
No need to determine “the greatest”.
All would “sit on thrones” in the Kingdom.
All would be at “My Table”...the Table of the Lord.

He will reign over all.

Let us learn.
Argue not.
Seek not to “lord over” one another.

Be faithful and obedient in the Kingdom the Lord grants.
