“Just As Christ...to the Glory of God”

Blessings folk!

Jesus is the Example for all that we have seen to this point in Romans 14-15.
Read and note…

Romans 15:7-9
7 Therefore, accept one another, just as Christ also accepted us to the glory of God. 8 For I say that Christ has become a servant to the circumcision on behalf of the truth of God to confirm the promises given to the fathers,
9 and for the Gentiles to glorify God for His mercy; as it is written,
“Therefore I will give praise to You among the Gentiles, And I will sing to Your name.”

“Therefore”…

  • in light of the previous information

Therefore, accept OneAnother.

We are to accept OneAnother in the same way that Christ accepted us...to the glory of God.

Jesus became a servant.
Did you notice to whom?

He became a servant to the “circumcision”...the Jews...on behalf of the truth of God.
Why?
To confirm the promises given the father.
Several Old Testament passages are then quoted (we will see them&hellipWinking.

But, Jesus was not only a servant to the Jews.
Verse 9 shows us that He came for the Gentiles also...to glorify God for His mercy.

Jesus...to the glory of God.
Jesus...to the Jews...on behalf of the truth of God.
Jesus...to the Gentiles...to glorify God for His mercy...“Therefore I will give praise to You among the Gentiles, And I will sing to Your name.” Ps. 18:49

We as Believers indwelled by the Most High should also accept/welcome/receive OneAnother to the glory of God.

Not the glory of self.
Not the glory of man.
The glory of God.
