“A Time Is Coming”

Today’s reading:

John 16:1-4

Jesus was about to leave.
He had told His disciples.

He continued to tell them many things.
He told them things that He had mentioned many times before...love one another, abide in Me, I’ll send the Spirit…
He told them things that He had not told them before.
He was leaving.
They needed to know.

He told them these things so that they would not fall away.
We will soon see that they would abandon the Lord, yet they did not fall away.
Jesus told them what would happen to them.
The same occurs to us.

• they would be put out of the synagogues
• a time would come when it would be considered a service to God to kill them

When these times come we are to remember.
The Lord warned the disciples.
The Lord has warned us.

Are you ready?
Will you stand?
Will you remember?
