1 Th 1:8-10
For the word of the Lord has sounded forth from you, not only in Macedonia and Achaia,
but also in every place your faith toward God has gone forth,
so that we have no need to say anything.

For they themselves report about us what kind of a reception we had with you,
and how you turned to God from idols to serve a living and true God,

and to wait for His Son from heaven,
whom He raised from the dead,
that is Jesus, who rescues us from the wrath to come.

They had turned to God.
They had turned from their idols to serve a living and true God.

So many people today profess a “belief”, yet their lives reflect idolatry.

Remember, an idol is anything that receives more of your attention than the Most High God.

Many are the religious that are really idolatrist. (Yeah, created that word&hellip

They turned to God.
So must we.

They turned to God and served Him.
So must we.

They waited for the return of His Son, the Lord Jesus, from heaven.
So must we.

They knew that Jesus was raised from the dead.
They knew that Jesus was returning.
They knew that Jesus, and He alone, rescues us from the wrath to come - the wrath of God upon unbelieving mankind.

We must “know” likewise.
