“The Spirit...”
Blessings folk! These verses are some of my favorite portions of the Word of the Most High.
Again, a long sentence. Let us take it a bite at at time...
Ephesians 1:16-18
15 For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints, 16 I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, 18 having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints...
We looked at verses 15-16 yesterday.
What do we learn in 17-18?
God the Father: - Father of glory - God of our Lord Jesus Christ - Gives the Spirit
We see the Triune nature of the Godhead in verse 17.
Father gives the Spirit. The Spirit of wisdom. The Spirit of revelation in the knowledge of Him. The Spirit that enlightens the eyes of our hearts. The Spirit that is the deposit of Hope that dwells within us. The Spirit that reveals...enables us to know...the hope in which we are called. The Spirit that reveals the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints.
There is more. For today, meditate/reflect upon theses profound truths. This is who we are in Him. This is what He has done for us. Rejoice!
