“Trustworthy Statement”

Blessings folk!

The Spirit, through Paul, now gives us a trustworthy statement.
Give close attention to the Truth.

2 Timothy 2:11-13
11 It is a trustworthy statement:
For if we died with Him, we will also live with Him;
12 If we endure, we will also reign with Him;
If we deny Him, He also will deny us;
13 If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.

Die with Him. Live with Him.
If we die to the flesh, to the desires of self, we will live in Him.
We will abide Him.
Daily death to self allows the Lord to live in us.

Endure and we will reign with Him.
Endurance to the end is the greatest evidence of true salvation.
The Word speaks about this in several places...to endure, to press on, to be found worthy, to run the course, etc.
True salvation will endure.
False salvation will not.

Deny Him? He will deny us.
Simply put.
If we deny Him, He will deny us.
But, what of…?
The next line helps.

Faithless?
He remains faithful.
What of the times when we fail...when our faith is weak...when our faith is nonexistent…when we sin...when we rebel...when… when...when…?
If we are truly saved…
If we have truly called upon the Lord in repentance…
If we have truly confessed…
Then we are His.
He is faithful.
He cannot deny Himself.
We are such a part of Him...His Body...that He will not deny us/Himself.

Even when we are faithless, He is faithful.

Remember…
Die to Live.
Endure to Reign.
Deny not to be not denied.
Remain Faithful in Him by Him.
