“God First…”

Blessings folk!

It is really very simple.
If you do not love, you do not know God.

Oh, you might put on a good show.
But, you do not truly know God.

1 John 4:8-11

8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

We see how God manifested His love to us.

• God sent His only Son into the world

Why

• that we might live through Him

It is through the love of God manifested in His Son that we may live.
No other way.

This is love.
Not that we loved God.
No.
He loved us!
He sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

He loved us first.
We then respond to this love.

If God loved us this way, ought we not to love OneAnother?

Loving OneAnother is manifestation of the love of God in the true Believer.
Anything else is false.

God initiated.
We responded.
We are transformed to love.
We love.
