“Last Meal”

Matthew 26:26-29
Mark 14:22-25
Luke 22:15-20

This is the last meal that Jesus had with His disciples.
It is often called the “Last Supper”. Well enough.
Often people think it was a Passover meal. No. It was a meal at the beginning of the day of Passover, but not Passover proper.

During the meal, Jesus established a time of remembrance for the sacrifice He would provide later in the day.

His Body, given for you. Remembered in the bread.
His Blood, poured out for you. Remembered in the fruit of the vine.

This Cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood.

A new covenant.

Jesus tells them that He would no longer eat/drink with them until the day when He drinks it new in the Kingdom of God.
