“Proclaim the Gospel”

Blessings folk!

We have seen how the gospel came to the Thessalonians…Acts 17.

Now let’s return to the first letter that Paul wrote back to them after he was hustled out of town.

Read what he says next…

1 Th 2:9
For you recall, brethren, our labor and hardship,
how working night and day so as not to be a burden to any of you,
we proclaimed to you the gospel of God.

Paul is asking them to remember.

Remember how Paul and friends had labored.
Remember how they had endured hardship.
Remember how they had worked night and day.
Remember that they worked so as to not be a burden to any of them.

They did not expect to be “provided for” by the Thessalonians.
They worked.

In the midst, they proclaimed the gospel.
Constantly.
Without ceasing.
As they went.
As they worked.
As they labored.
As they endured hardship.
They proclaimed the good news of the gospel of God.

So should we.
There is no reason to not proclaim the gospel.
There is not time to not proclaim the gospel.

Set aside the excuses.
Set aside the fear.
Set aside the rationality of man.
Reject “religion”.
Reject “denominationalism”.

Proclaim the gospel at all times!
