“Testimonies of the Lord”

Blessings folk!

What do you do when people speak against you?
Where do you rest?
In what do you take delight?
What has your focus?
Your attention?
On what do you meditate?
In other words, to where does your mind go?

Hear the Word of the Lord…

Psalm 119:21-24

21 You rebuke the arrogant, the cursed,
Who wander from Your commandments.
22 Take away reproach and contempt from me,
For I observe Your testimonies.
23 Even though princes sit and talk against me,
Your servant meditates on Your statutes.
24 Your testimonies also are my delight;
They are my counselors.

Note what the Lord does:

• He rebukes the arrogant
• He rebukes the cursed...those who wander from His commandments
• Takes away reproach and contempt for those who observe His testimonies

Note what the Psalmist does:

• Observes the testimonies of the Lord
• Meditates upon the Lord’s statutes
• Delights in the testimonies of the Lord
• Acknowledges that the testimonies of the Lord are his counselors

Heed the Word.
Do not wander from His commandments.
Observe the testimonies of the Lord.
Delight in the testimonies of the Lord.
Receive the counsel of the testimonies of the Lord.
Meditate on His statutes.
This require knowing the testimonies of the Lord...do you?
