“Before the Watches of the Night…”

Blessings folk!

The next stanza...

Psalm 119:145-148
Qoph
145 With my whole heart I cry; answer me, O Lord!     I will keep your statutes. 146 I call to you; save me,     that I may observe your testimonies. 147 I rise before dawn and cry for help;     I hope in your words. 148 My eyes are awake before the watches of the night,     that I may meditate on your promise.

The intensity of the Psalmist’s cry unto the Lord increases.
“With my whole heart I cry”…

He cried out for an answer.
He cried out for rescue.

He arose early to do so...before the watches of the night ceased.
He would not spend time upon sleep.

Note the determination…
I cry…
I will keep your statutes…
I call to you…
I rise before dawn…
I hope in Your Words…
I arise early to meditate upon Your Promise.
I desire to observe Your testimonies.

In the midst of persecution, trials and troubles the Psalmist sought the Lord.
How do we respond in like situation?
