"Sing With Thankfulness"

“Sing With Thankfulness”

Blessings folk!

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts.
Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you.

We as Believers have a choice.
We have a decision.
Whether to “let” Christ…or to “let” the flesh/soul.

See how the Word will work…

Col 3:16
Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

If we allow, the Word of Christ will richly dwell within us.
Not just dwell.
Richly.
The depths of the Most High will reside within us.
The richly indwelling Word will break forth in song...if we “let”.
The Word will teach and admonish us.
We are to teach and admonish one another...in the wisdom of the Word.
How?
In...
- Psalms: psalmos - a striking, twanging, the striking of a chord on a musical instrument, a pious song
- Hymns: hymnos - sacred song, hymn, song of praise to God

ōdē - a song, ode, the idea being a spontaneous song of the Spirit

(Much man-made, self-imposed division in the Body of Christ would disappear if we gave close heed to this verse.)

Song is to be used to teach and admonish one another.
Song is to be used to give thanks to the Most High - privately and corporately.

Today, sing unto the Lord a new song.
Your song.
You are the only one who can.
