“Practicing Evil…”

Blessings folk!

Why do we do the things we do not want to do?
Why do we not do what we should do?

The struggle is in the flesh

Yet, we are victorious.
Why the struggle?

Because we do not abide in the Lord - John 15.
Because we give heed to the wants and desires of the flesh.

Rom 7:16-19
But if I do the very thing I do not want to do, I agree with the Law, confessing that the Law is good.
So now, no longer am I the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me.
For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh; for the willing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not.
For the good that I want, I do not do, but I practice the very evil that I do not want.

The Law is good.
When we do the things we do not want to do, then we agree with the Law...that the Law is the standard..the plumb line.

It is sin that dwells within us that leads us to itself.

We are willing...willing in the flesh.
But, we are unable to do good in the flesh.

We will not do good in the flesh.
We will practice the very evil that we do not want.

What to do?
