“Acceptable Service”

Blessings folk!

Keeping in mind all that we have seen in recent days about accepting OneAnother and the liberty/freedom we have in Christ...read...

Romans 14:18-19
18 For he who in this way serves Christ is acceptable to God and approved by men. 19 So then we pursue the things which make for peace and the building up of one another.

We are acceptable to God when we serve Christ “in this way”.
What is “this way”?

Not causing a brother to stumble.

Not being an obstacle to a brother.

Not using the liberty/freedom we have to cause a weaker brother to be distracted.

To remember that the Kingdom of God is not about eating and drinking and the liberty we have. Rather, the Kingdom is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Accepting OneAnother...whether strong or weak.

The strong are to walk in humility before the weak.

The weak are not to judge the strong.

Note that the Word tells us that this will meet with the approval of man.

We see a term of conclusion…”so then”…

We pursue the things:

  1. which make for peace
  2. which make for the building up of OneAnother.

This is the Body of Christ functioning as the Lord designed.
Humility before OneAnother.
Love of OneAnother.
Respect for OneAnother.
The building up of OneAnother.

Are you building?
Or, are you tearing down?
Are you serving the Lord in how you relate to OneAnother?

Do you desire to be acceptable to God in your deeds?
Then live as instructed.
