A new stanza.
A basic truth that we often take for granted...
Psalm 119:137-138
Tsadhe
137 Righteous are you, O Lord,
and right are your rules.
138 You have appointed your testimonies in righteousness
and in all faithfulness.
The Lord is Righteous.
Not only does He “do right”, He is the epitome of “Right”.
There is no wrong in Him.
There is no mistake.
What does “righteous” mean?
Morally correct? Yes.
Virtuous? Yes.
One word describes the Lord...
Holy.
Without sin.
The Lord is Righteous, Holy, Perfect, Without defect.
Therefore, His rules are right.
They could not be anything else.
These testimonies, commandments, precepts, etc. that we have seen are appointed by the Most High in righteousness and faithfulness.
The Lord is Righteous.
The Lord is Faithful.
Faithful in Truth.
Faithful in Holiness.
Therefore, when we learn the Truth of the Lord, we can know that it is Good.
Righteous.
Faithful is the Lord.
We are called to live in like manner.
This is only possible through the Most High empowering.
He does so in True Believers.
The Holy Spirit dwells within us.
All other ways are false and will fail.
