“Beware the Leaven…”

Jesus tells His disciples to beware the leaven of the Pharisees.
He states what the leaven is - hypocrisy.

Jesus used the concern of the moment with the disciples.
They had forgotten to bring bread.
Actually is humorous when one examines the situation.

They were fearful and fretting.

When Jesus makes the statement they thought they “were in trouble.”

Jesus had another purpose.

Do not be a hypocrite.
Do not be like the religious rulers.
