“Witness 3: Father”

Blessings folk!

The third witness that Jesus provides…

John 5:37-38
37 And the Father who sent Me, He has testified of Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time nor seen His form.
38 You do not have His word abiding in you, for you do not believe Him whom He sent.

Remember, Jesus is speaking to the Religious leadership.

Jesus states that Father sent Him.
Jesus then says that Father testifies of Him.

But, the Religious leadership had not heard the voice of God nor His form.

The Religionists do not have the Word of the Lord abiding in them.

Why?

It is not because they did not know the Word.
These folk new the Scripture better than most.
It was their “job”.

The Word did not abide because they did not believe Jesus.
They did not believe the One sent by Father - Jesus.

Such is the same today.
So many “believe”, yet they are not truly saved.
So many “believe”, yet they have not the Word abiding in them.

The Word abides today in the truly saved.
The Holy Spirit dwells within us.

Examine yourself.
Are you of the faith that brings forth salvation?
