“12 Years”

Blessings Folk!

Today’s reading:

Matthew 9:18-26
Mark 5:21-43
Luke 8:40-56

As Jesus lived the day He did as Father directed.
The work of the Kingdom was in every moment.

Here we have amazing synonymous encounters that tell us something.

Jairus’ daughter, 12 years old, sick/dying/dead.
Woman with “issue of blood”/hemorrhaging for 12 years.

Jairus sought for His daughter. Fell as Jesus’ feet. Implored
Jesus called woman “Daughter”. See approached Jesus’ feet. Touched.

Jesus went immediately to Jairus’ daughter.
The woman reached out in faith and touched Jesus as He was on the way.

The faith of the Daughter of Jesus made her well - take courage.
The faith of Jairus - a synagogue official, this request would likely cost him much - healed his daughter.

Both experienced immediate healing.
One had lived for 12 years.
One had suffered for 12 years.

Put away the noise and belittling of the religious mourners.
Reach out and touch.

Take courage.
Do not be afraid.
Only believe.
By faith.

Power is available.
