“Wondered, Amazed, Marveled”

Today’s reading:
Matthew 9:35
Mark 6:6b
Luke 8:1-3

We learn several things in these passages.

One we have seen repeatedly - Jesus went about from city to city, village to village proclaiming and preaching the Kingdom of God.

Another: Jesus wondered...was amazed and marveled… at their unbelief.

Then, we learn much about who those were that traveled with Jesus.
Yes, the twelve were with Him.
But, there were also women.
Mary called Magdalene from whom seven demons had gone out.
Joanna, the wife of Herod’s household manager!
Susanna.
And many others.

Note what the women did.

They provided for Jesus and the twelve out of their own resources.

Not what most expect...
