"He Went Back Home..."

“He Went Back Home…”

Blessings folk!

Zacharias would be deaf/dumb until the fulfillment of the promise of a child.
He had not believed the Word of the Lord delivered by the angel Gabriel.

We continue…

Luk 1:21
The people were waiting for Zacharias, and were wondering at his delay in the temple.
But when he came out, he was unable to speak to them; and they realized that he had seen a vision in the temple; and he kept making signs to them, and remained mute.
When the days of his priestly service were ended, he went back home.

The people wondered what was taking so long.
When Zacharias comes out he is unable to speak.
They knew something had happened.

How did they “realize he had seen a vision”?
We are not forthrightly told.
Likely the signs he was making seeking to communicate.

When the days of his service…some two weeks…were over, he went home.

Now think.

What happened next?

We will see some details tomorrow, but think on it.

Here is a aged couple.
Here is a couple that was well past the age of child-bearing.

Something happened.
Something happened that had likely not happened for a long time.
This was before the “little-blue-pill”.

There was some time…some moment…some encounter…

Can we imagine the excitement?

They knew what had been said…assuming that Zacharias had told his wife.
With every breath they knew that the Lord was fulfilling His Word.

God is good.
God is faithful.
He hears our prayers.
